How to get everyone involved?
Match chores to age. From age 3: tidy up toys, put dirty clothes in the basket. Around 6: set the table, feed the pet. Around 10: empty the dishwasher, vacuum, take out the bins.
Rotate the chores. Rotation avoids arguments: nobody always gets the least fun job. The chart can change every day or every week.
Make it visible. Print the chart and stick it on the fridge: ticking a box is very motivating, especially for kids. A small reward at the end of the week helps too.
Frequently asked questions
At what age can a child start doing chores?
From 2 or 3, a child can tidy up toys or help set the table. The chores grow with them.
How do you share household chores fairly?
By rotating them: every day or every week, each chore moves on to the next person. The chart does the rotation automatically.
Is the chart free?
Yes, free and with no sign-up. Print it or save it as a PDF as often as you like.
